It’s funny. Non-vegans are always concerned about the health of vegans when really, it should be the other way around.

Yes, my B12 levels are just fine. Yes, I get enough calcium. No, I’m actually pretty strong and, no, I don’t still crave meat.

As funny as that sounds, the people questioning vegan ideals are usually the ones battling health issues because they are the ones looking for reasons to not have to change. Well, good thing is, we’ve got lots of reason to go vegan.

Thankfully, the world is slowly moving toward a plant-based diet and vegan lifestyle.

We have countless articles and research indicating that a plant-based/vegan diet is the healthiest of all. This is great news not only for the animals, but for our planet, because animal agriculture is a leading cause of deforestation and global warming.

How hard can going vegan be?

Well, you should start by making some changes at home beginning with your pantry. You don’t have to go 100% vegan overnight, let’s be realistic. You can find so many plant-based foods that you probably had never noticed at your local grocery store before.

For a little help, check out my How to Go Vegan page and print out the grocery list for plant-based raw foods. Finding quality vegan brands and mixes is very important and extremely helpful. GoGo Quinoa, for example, not only carries my favourite Tri-Color Quinoa, but an awesome superfood pack called, the Andean Mix with Pumpkin Seeds, making dinner a little less stressful.

What’s great about being vegan is that you get to explore an array of plant-based foods that you would have never considered to try. It will bring out your creative side, trust me. You’ll become fearless; trying new things and opening up both your mind and palette. And you’ll be eating a heck of a lot healthier too.

Why choose a plant-based lifestyle?

There are lots of reasons people choose a vegan lifestyle, ranging from moral to health to environmental concerns. No matter what yours is, there are countless websites and communities that you could join to help you transition to a happy and healthy vegan lifestyle.

The Struggling Vegan is a great place to start because it offers daily menu plans, countless recipes and a community page called, the “Veg Room” where you can chat with other like-minded people. And one of the most awesome aspects of this site is that you get access to real doctors if you have medical questions.

So, what are you waiting for?

With such a wide range of products catering to this exact lifestyle, unlimited resources and community support, there is really no excuse not to go vegan.
