As a vegan it is important that nutritional needs are met. This isn’t hard eating as a plant based vegan. However, supplementation is important for vegans. One essential vitamin not present in the vegan diet is B12. It is easy to simply opt for vitamins in tablet form when we first begin supplementing.
However, for maximum absorption and nutrition it is best to use a liquid multivitamin. In their liquid form vitamins have far more bioavailability. This means that the body absorbs them better. So when you’re out shopping for your supplement opt for a liquid multi-vitamin!
Vegan diets address most of the deficiencies the Standard American Diet fails to address. This does not mean vegans should not supplement. Vitamin B-12 is a water soluble vitamin that helps the functioning of our brain and nervous system. It is crucial in the formation of red blood cells.
Some vitamins are better transferred in liquids and other vitamins are transferred in tablet form. It is generally agreed upon that liquid vitamins have a faster absorption rate but individual research should be conducted on vitamin and brand preference.
